Golden Eagle - 1940
SKU #: VMP1030
This antique color plate features a colorful image of the Golden Eagle. The print comes from the book Birds of America by Editor-in-Chief T. Gilbert Pearson, President of the National Association of Audubon Societies. The book was originally copyrighted in 1917. This is the edition published in 1940 by Garden City Publishing Company, Inc. of New York. The color plates were made using the original paintings by Louis Agassiz Fuertes that are at the New York State Museum in Albany, New York.
This vintage print is one-half of Plate 49 showing a Golden Eagle with its young in their natural habitat. The print is professionally matted in an 8” x 10” navy blue colored matte to setoff the beauty of the birds. Our vintage prints are shipped in a plastic sleeve between cardboard stiffeners to arrive in perfect condition.
Keep in mind, an antique print will never be “perfect” like a new print and there are sometimes tiny occasional spots and/or discoloring or aging. However, we only sell mint or almost mint prints and will not sell anything that we would not be proud to hang on our own walls!!!
WE GUARANTEE ALL PRINTS TO BE AUTHENTIC AND AS DESCRIBED!
