Triton Washington Pear Crate Label

This 1930s – 1940s vintage vegetable crate label for evaporated pears shows the sea god King Neptune with a triton in one hand and fruit in the other. He is shown at sunrise sitting on a rock and admiring his Washington State Fruit. The label measures 10” Wide x 6.25” High and is in mint unused condition. The fruit was packed and shipped by the Valley Evaporating Co. in Yakima, Washington. They had branches in Wenatchee, Oroville, and Chelan Falls, Washington.
We have matted this antique crate label in a rose/brick colored 11” x 14” matte to highlight its beauty. It will be shipped in a plastic sleeve between cardboard stiffeners. This is a really fine old historical item that is a genuine part of the history of agriculture in Washington State<
